BRINGING LIGHT TO DARKNESS

Candle Care & Safety Guidelines

🕯 Jar Candles

To ensure an even burn and prevent tunneling, always burn your WaxThatWick candle for a minimum of 2 hours each time you light it. This allows a full melt pool to form and maximizes the candle's lifespan.

🕯 Pillar Candles (Only)

Avoid burning your pillar candle for too long. We recommend a maximum burn time of 1 hour per inch of the candle's diameter.

Example: A 3-inch diameter candle should not be burned for more than 3 hours at a time.

⚠️ Important Safety Reminders

  • Every candle is unique. Improper use (or what we like to call “candle abuse”) may lead to fire, injury, or property damage.

  • Never burn candles in drafty areas — this can cause uneven burning or increase fire risk.

  • Always place your candle on a heat-resistant, fireproof surface or a proper candle holder.

  • Never leave a lit candle unattended.

  • Always keep candles out of reach of children and pets, and burn under adult supervision.

Caring for your candle properly not only keeps you safe, but also ensures the best possible burn and fragrance experience.

🧊 Wax Melts Care & Safety

Usage

Use 1–2 wax melt cubes based on your fragrance strength preference and the size of your warmer.

Cleaning Your Warmer

Once the wax has fully melted and you're ready to switch scents:

  • Carefully pour the melted wax into the trash — never down the sink, as it may clog your drains.

  • While the warmer is still warm (but not hot), wipe clean with a paper towel.

Safety Reminder

Melted wax is extremely hot. Always handle your wax warmer with care and keep it out of reach of children and pets.

Trim Your Wick for a Better Burn

Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each burn.
Use wick trimmers, scissors, wire cutters, or even a nail clipper to carefully trim the wick.

Light your candle and allow it to burn for 2–3 hours.
This helps create an even melt pool and prevents tunneling.

Extinguish the flame and allow the candle to cool completely before trimming the wick again for the next use.
