🕯 Jar Candles
To ensure an even burn and prevent tunneling, always practice proper candle care by burning your WaxThatWick candle for a minimum of 2 hours each time you light it. This allows a full melt pool to form, maximizing the candle's lifespan and enhancing your fragrance experience.
🕯 Pillar Candles (Only)
When it comes to pillar candles, avoid burning them for too long. We recommend a maximum burn time of 1 hour per inch of the candle's diameter. For example, a 3-inch diameter candle should not be burned for more than 3 hours at a time.
⚠️ Important Candle Safety Reminders
Every candle is unique. Improper use (or what we like to call “candle abuse”) may lead to fire, injury, or property damage. Always prioritize candle safety by never burning candles in drafty areas, as this can cause uneven burning or increase fire risk.
Always place your candle on a heat-resistant, fireproof surface or use a proper candle holder. Never leave a lit candle unattended. Additionally, always keep candles out of reach of children and pets, and burn them under adult supervision.
Caring for your candle properly not only keeps you safe but also ensures the best possible burn and fragrance experience, especially when using wax melts. With these tips, you can enjoy your candles and wax melts care effectively.
🧊 Wax Melts Care & Safety Usage
For optimal candle care, use 1–2 wax melt cubes depending on your fragrance strength preference and the size of your warmer.
Cleaning Your Warmer
Once the wax has fully melted and you're ready to switch scents, remember that proper wax melts care is essential. Carefully pour the melted wax into the trash — never down the sink, as it may clog your drains. While the warmer is still warm (but not hot), wipe clean with a paper towel.
Safety Reminder
Candle safety is crucial: melted wax is extremely hot. Always handle your wax warmer with care and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
For proper candle care, trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each burn. You can use wick trimmers, scissors, wire cutters, or even a nail clipper to carefully trim the wick. Light your candle and let it burn for 2–3 hours; this practice aids in creating an even melt pool and prevents tunneling, which is essential for candle safety. After enjoying your candle, extinguish the flame and allow the candle to cool completely before trimming the wick again for the next use. This ensures optimal performance for your candles and wax melts care.
